Post-Transplant: Nausea
You
may experience nausea for a while in the aftermath of your transplant, and this
can also affect your appetite. You
should be given a prescription for anti-nausea medication upon leaving the
hospital. The most effective use of this medicine is when it's taken before you're nauseous. I only needed it a few times, and the sensation I'd get was just a little bit queasy. I didn't let it get worse before taking something for it, though, and usually the sensation passed. You'll find that you've grown pretty sensitive to small changes, so pay attention to the cues your body is giving you.
