Chemotherapy continued on in the three-week cycle from June through August. It was only during this time that the wound in my thigh finally healed completely - no doubt due to the chemo itself. I didn't have too many bad side-effects of the chemo, except periodic nausea, and I did lose my hair. It's hot in Arizona in the summer, so I actually didn't mind the hair loss, since I tended to overheat easily, between the weather, my thyroid condition, and the effect of chemo.
Outside of the normal effects, I began to feel better for the first time in eight months. And I began to regain weight slowly. At the end of the six chemo sessions, in August, all the masses were gone. I had a PT scan and they found no hot spots. My cancer was in remission.
