bone marrow or stem cell transplant is a lengthy and expensive procedure. Your health care coverage will be evaluated
and confirmed to make sure you’re covered.
In some cases your coverage may allow for the transplant, but in-patient
hospital time will be minimized. This
will only happen if your type of illness (and subsequent treatment regime)
safely allows for it. You will be
scheduled to meet with a financial analyst at your transplant center and this
consultation will likely take less than half an hour. No additional material will be included on
this topic in my book as it is outside the scope of the subject matter.
